Skiing in Colorado is back, my friends. You need to get to Denver (or Vail, Durango, Aspen) and come up for some powder bombing.
We had the crummiest of crummy seasons last year, and there seemed to be more dirt, grass and rock patches on the slopes than should’ve been allowed by law. Since JRS had her 5th grade ski pass, allowing her to ski free at most of the state’s resorts, we took advantage of it as much as possible.
I’m glad it didn’t dampen her enthusiasm to ski now, because it was tough trying to maneuver the awful conditions that were present at nearly all of the resorts we went to last year.
This year didn’t start out so hot either. It took a few good storms in January to get the ball rolling. But now we have plenty, if the latest ski reports are any indication.
And this was just taken today. The little sparkles are flurries. This snowfall isn’t nearly as prolific as it was on Sunday, but we’ll welcome anything…and hope it keeps falling.
See you on the slopes!
