I realized I haven’t posted more pictures from my National Geographic workshop, so to fulfill that promise, here they are:
Here’s some wonderful-looking open-faced sandwiches at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, all of them with salmon. Now, I don’t like salmon at all, but taking a look at these, I’d probably be tempted to buy one. They just look so yummy. No, I didn’t buy one, which was just as well. Because here I did give in to something I had no right to have.
Our main instructor, Catherine, took us to this little table just outside a restaurant, claiming this was the best hot chocolate ever. I only like to drink hot chocolate when it’s freezing, and now especially living in Colorado, when it’s snowy and I’ve been out skiing. But she was right – this stuff was lethally delicious. I say lethal, because if I were to drink more of it, I probably would’ve gained 5 lbs. just on this stuff alone, had I bought another cup. And at $5.00, it was worth the indulgence.
This last picture wasn’t one that I chose as one of my favorites or submitted for review at the workshop, but I like it just the same. It makes me think about how wonderful San Francisco is, how beautiful the weather is most of the time (even with the fog) and how lucky these people are to be living in such a magical place.
And yes, there will be more to come…
