The local meteorologists here say that we’re well below the normal snowfall for the year. Without getting too controversial, Colorado just isn’t getting the precipitation we normally have. And I have to think it’s because of something in the environment. But this isn’t a politics or science blog. I just rattle on about travel, photography and anything else that’s on my mind here.
Still, I can’t help but notice we don’t have a lot of the white stuff this winter, which was also the case last year. It did snow two nights ago, and the ski resorts up in the mountains are getting their share. But if I wanted to have mild winters, I could be back in California right now.
Well, there’s always February and March, which is when we sometimes get humongous snowfall – one year, 2003, we almost got six FEET in a matter of days. Winter’s not over yet.
